A Collector's Paradise: Exploring South Bend's Antique Scene | Cressy & Everett

Whether you're an avid collector, looking for vintage pieces for your new home, or just enjoy window shopping, there are tons of great antique stores to explore near South Bend homes for sale, filled with cool new things (and old things) to discover. Here are a few of our favorite antique places in the area.

  • Council Oak Antiques - 50981 State Hwy 933, South Bend, IN 46637
A trip to Council Oak Antiques is like a treasure hunt filled with hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Their specialty is home furnishings and decor, including beautifully crafted furniture and intricately designed lighting fixtures. They also sell art, accessories, and more, all curated by experts and designers. Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays noon-5 p.m., browsing the Council Oak store is an experience not to be missed.

  • Mishawaka Antiques - 118 Lincolnway E, Mishawaka, IN 46544
If you're interested in vintage art and jewelry, check out Mishawaka Antiques. Located near Mishawaka homes for sale, their store has a cozy, almost fantastical vibe, full of quirky and colorful pieces you might expect to find in a fairy tale. Whether you're looking for something to hang on your walls or place on your shelves, there's something fun that will fit your decor. Or, if you need something bigger, like desks, bureaus, or tables, Mishawaka Antiques has pieces that are warm and inviting to give any room a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

  • The Amish Mall - 1216 W. Bristol St., Elkhart, IN 46514
If you're looking for quality, vintage pieces that are built to last, check out The Amish Mall. Located near Elkhart homes for sale, this antique mall features a variety of different vendors selling Amish-made products at bargain prices. It's a great place for furniture, as well as art and knickknacks with a retro feel. You can also find things like cookbooks, vinyl, and even used electronics. With a variety of different vendors, their stock varies from day to day, so it's best to head down there yourself and see what treasures you can find.

  • 820 Antiques - 820 N. Ward St., Elkhart, IN 46516
Over 50 different vendors inhabit 820 Antiques, which means there's something there for everyone. While each vendor brings their unique collection and expertise, the store as a whole has a style all its own, and they love to decorate for different seasons and holidays, so no matter when you come in, you'll see something new and different. Whether it's snowmen in winter, hearts for Valentine's, or bunnies for Easter, the vibe of 820 Antiques will make you feel like a kid again. Closed Mondays, the store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12-5 p.m.

  • Dutch Lady Antiques - 401 E. Market St., Nappanee, IN 46550
Dutch Lady Antiques is like a step back in time, offering everything from fine china to vintage toys to architectural salvage. And with over 7,000 feet of store space, you could easily spend the whole day browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. Located near Nappanee homes for sale, their vendors' artisan, handcrafted items are often cheaper than you'd find in a thrift store. Closed Sundays, the store is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday until 4 p.m.
