Looking for fun things to do this fall? Bring the whole family to these South Bend attractions.

Fall in South Bend brings cool evening breezes, Halloween trick-or-treaters, special holiday parties, and lots of fun-filled family activities. Our real estate agents think it's the perfect time to get outdoors and explore some of our favorite places that make the fall season so great. Take a look at 5 great destinations that are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit.

  1. Potawatomi Zoo – 500 South Greenlawn Avenue, South Bend
    Spending the day at the zoo is always fun, especially if you have kids who love to explore. During the fall, you can get up close and personal with special Animal Encounters. When you purchase a ticket, you'll have an opportunity to feed the giraffes in their natural habitat and learn more about them from their zoo keepers. Your ticket will also get you a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel and the Potawatomi Express Train. If you want to see more animals up close, you can purchase tickets for other animal encounters where you can feed furry creatures like bison, otters, and sloths.

  1. Lehman's Orchard – 2280 Portage Road, Niles, Michigan
    Lehman's Orchard is a favorite fall destination for many locals and visitors looking for nearby Niles homes for sale. There's no better way to spend the day than strolling through a beautiful orchard while picking seasonal fresh fruit right off the trees to enjoy at home:

In addition to fresh food and flowers, they have a big selection of Halloween items like gourds and pumpkins, corn stalks, straw bales, unique yard art, and a variety of spooky decorations. Before you head home, be sure to pick up a few pots of vibrant sunflowers and colorful mums for your front porch.

  1. Thistleberry Farm – 61391 Mayflower Road, South Bend
